I got my Clayden from this rescue group in Van Nuys, CA. It is a very nice rescue group founded by two women back in the 60's that provides full services for the homeless animals. When I went to see Clayden hoping to adopt him. I saw how nice the center is. A lot of volunteers working there, helping around. They open 7 days a week, even public holidays. I adopted Clayden on New Years Eve 12/31/06. Even thought it was a holiday, the center was full of volunteers and even the two founders were there too. Clayden was in such a great shape when I first saw him. He was apparently very well taken care of in the center. I had to go through many evaluations to get approved for the adoption. They have actually denied a few applications for Clayden because they didn't think those families are best suit for Clayden. After the adoption, they have also assigned a staff to contact me once a week for the first month, then once a month to check on Clayden. I constantly checked back their website to look at the dogs. It always makes me very happy to see this note "Adopted" on the pictures of those puppies and kitties. Anyway, enough of the background, the purpose of my post is to spread this message about Poor Tippi http://www.petorphans.org/tippis_story.shtml It would be so nice if you could make a donation for the surgery but just a prayer for Tippi is also very much needed. Thank you Gigi |
