http://www.tarheeloesrescue.org/available.htm I wanted to cross post this boy here because I know several of you have experience with this mix. He's looking for a new home. If you know of someone who might be interested in adopting this sweetheart, let me know. Thanks! |

OMG.. I was just on your rescue site looking at both Scruffy and Shaggy.. both of those boys are BEAUTIFUL..
My favourite breeds all rolled into two.. Saint, Pry, and of course OES... I hope they find loving homes soon, they are both so handsome. |
OMG!! Check out Shaggy! My hubby and I have three rescued Saint Bernards...........I can't believe it! |
Isn't he beautiful.. love the face.. the shear size of him is awsome.. I love BIG dogs.. big and hairy.....

more to squeeze... Oh, you would love my house! Someone bold and assertive is going to need to adopt that dog! Also, Saints don't quit growing until three years. They get bigger until two and fill in until three! |
You called that one right, ElizFCDF. He'll need someone with experience to be sure. He's a lovebug with no clue how big he is. Very gentle boy. |
Wow, Shaggy is gorgeous... what a big boy! I don't think he'll have any trouble finding a home |
It's a good thing he doesn't live closer.. .... |
Our large male Saint is 160-165 pounds, and he is not anywhere near the largest Saint boy out there. I hope we get updates on this guy!
|
They are so adorable, could you imagine shareing a bed with that big boy. He needs a king size just for him. |
Adorable is right!!! All these wonderful dogs out there , but I am not looking They sure are cute, I love the big dogs........ |
I'm so glad I'm on the other side of the country!! Like Dudster, 3 of my favorite breeds, throw in a Newf and I'm a gonner. Alas, our days of big dogs is over. Sniff. |
aww i am totally in love with Shaggy! I would take him but Walter would not be happy |
Tammy do you think he is a guardian?
In other words, is he interested in being a working dog or just a pet? As you know I had a Pyr and help with Pyr rescue in my area. Some Pyr's are not suited for pets, they just love to be out taking care of the goats. Let me know, my friend that does Pyr rescue might be interested in him. |
I sent the link to a friend in NY. He has two Pyr's and a huge fenced yard in the country. He would love to adopt Scruffy if transportation to NY can be arranged. |
Lol. This is how I wound up with a Komondor. He wasn't the OES mix that they thought he was! Of course, now that I've had him for a year, he's about 1/2 OES in spirit. |
oh he looks like derby.. glad i don' live closer would be in my car now |

He seems to want to bond to one person, which I understand is typical of Pyrs. Belinda & her husband are fostering him, so I will ask her to see. |

If he's interested, please tell him to fill out the online application. We have worked out long distance adoptions several times. |
