A couple have called for capers. It turns out I capers! They add a lot of flavor and have a fun texture. My question: Just what the heck is a caper?????????????? |
|
Plant buds... hmm... seems like a strange thing to eat really LOL

A chef I worked with likened the taste to something quite naughty. Ever since then, I just can't bring myself to eat them. |
Thanks a lot Mandy!!
I LOVE them!! But I think they taste a little like a green olive. Now I won't be able to eat them, though, without thinking of your chef's reference. |
No wonder I like them! I "like" naughty Hee hee...I like that they are little and packed with flavor...but I also like green olives a lot too. |
They are wonderful.......and I'm trying very hard to forget the chef's reference. |
Ok...I just got the naughty comment. Ugh...I'm sorry...I'm slow. But I still like capers. |
/me Wonders aloud if Mandy has given up caper movies, like The Great Muppet Caper too. |

What aisle in the store are capers found???? I've been looking for them for months!
(I also don't get Mandy's reference and I don't want to know) |
Usually with the olives & pickles, but if you don't see them ask for them. That happened to me once and when I asked, they took me to the aisle where salad dressing and "toppings" were found. So look there too. |

I find them in the fancy olive/fancy martini onions, fancy pickle section. (Yes, I'm very fancy!) |
