Why don't you keep the cats indoors?
They seem to instinctively know how to use a litterbox... and you can put the litterbox out of reach of the dogs. |
I suggest the following:
1. Get rid of the cats. 2. Have the cats eat mint so your dog's breath smells mint fresh. 3. Feed cats flowers 4. Get rid of cats. I know this isn't that constructive, but I couldn't resist |
Accidently whacks El Gato in the shins with hockey stick,....smiles sweetly and says oops>
Well seems like your dog developed a taste for Almond Roca as kitty poo is affectionately referred to, for those whom have dogs that seem to enjoy this delicacy. Ever heard of mimic in biology? Mimic is when animals have colors which mimic other animals whom are either poisonous or taste awful to predators. Butterflies and snakes are two examples. Red/yellow/black in many animals species indicates that this animal is poisonous to others and will be avoided by the rest of the animal kingdom. Some animals are not poisonous but will have alternating colors for example..yellow/red and black and thus fool others into thinking they are poisonous but they really aren't. Bear with me there is a method to this madness...umm..I mean a reason for this lengthy post. Some butterflies taste so nasty to birds that one bite will cure them for life of ever trying to eat another one like it. Nature has given many butterflies the same colors to protect them against birds although they apparently don't taste as bad as their counterparts. Monarch butterflies are a prime example of foul tasting butterflies due to their primary food source of milkweed. Nature has mimicked the same colors with some others although they apparently don't taste nasty and don't eat milkweed. (Dunno how scientist come up with this stuff and I personally have never eaten a butterfly but relying on research I've read.) From some past readings I've done based on what I wrote above ..you go in search of kitty poo and apply some foul tasting stuff on it so should doggy go in search of it. Phoooey!!! Blah!!! Taste so awful they avoid it at all cost from that moment on. There's lots of stuff on the net regarding what to apply on kitty poo which I forget at the moment..but worth checking out. Not something dangerous to dogs of course but awful tasting (yeah I know to our palete you would think kitty poo is disgusting) so that Beauford is going to start avoiding it. Good Luck! Thanks for protecting my kitties from that mad man Our kitties do stay in but they go outside to do their business. I dont like dealing with litter boxes if I dont have to. I think I will try "flavoring". Thank you for your suggestions. |
Be sure to watch That your dog dose not eat the cat dropings not only is it very nasty but there are many things your dog can catch. I was scatched by a cat that had dropings in it's claws . The germ had gotton into my blood and case a sickness called toxoplasmosis :A single-celled parasite called Toxoplasma gondii causes a disease known as toxoplasmosis. While the parasite is found throughout the world, more than 60 million people in the United States may be infected with the Toxoplasma parasite.
It's not a great thing to have but for humans if you catch it early enough you can beat it, as for dog Im not a doctor but from what I heard it can be deadly. Just letting ya know my dog used to do that too im not trying to scare ya your dog is fine but just something to think about cause it can be very scary. |
THank you !!! you're puppy is a cutie I was thinking do they all lay like that : |
