Lost 1.5 pounds. I SHOULD HAVE LOST MORE!!!!! I'm very disappointed. |
|
Don't be disappointed Paula!
Isn't the normal healthy range of weight to lose per week 1-2 pounds? So to be healthy you shouldn't have lost much more anyways... And any losing is better than gaining... |
You may have lost inches which is really more important. Nobody knows how much you weigh, you don't wear a scale readout on your forehead, but they can "see" your inches. Start measuring your body too, including upper arms, individual thighs and calves. |
If you want to loose weight in a healthy manner it takes time. If you actually lost 1.5 pounds of fat, that is a lot! You should only be loosing 1-2 pounds per week anyway. Most people will hit a plateau at some point too. At that point you need to increase your amount of exercise (or decrease the amount of calories, BUT be careful you are consuming enough calories at the same time!). It takes time, but usually if you loose weight by changing your lifestyle, you can keep it off. Those fad diets just don't work, at some point you have to stop the diet and eat "normal", then people gain the weight back.
Be patient, and congrats on two strong months! Keep pushing through this time, you can do it! |
Also remember hormones can interfere with weight loss. Don't expect to lose at a regular clip. Don't live and die by the scale.
Don't reduce the amt you eat to jump start the weight loss. You might be slowing the metabolism instead, further slowing weight loss. If you are on a good, sound diet for you, then the weight will continue to disappear. I hope you took my advice a few days ago and started measuring. The scales may lag far behind what is actually happening. Drink your water, exercise to make the muscles long and lean, and you'll be fine. sheepieboss |
