Hi Val,
Oh so happy for you!! That place sounds so state of the art and seems as if Chummie is getting the best care. How wonderful you were able to see her! Now are you thinking about setting up a web cam in your place soon so we can soon see you walking?...Just a thought.... Lots of belly rubs to Chummie and her sis too Marianne and the boys |
That is just awesome Val!
I can't wait to see Chummie up and about. She must be thrilled to be with Maggie too. |
Awww that's wonderful... you must miss them like crazy, but especially Chum as you've been through so much with her... |
That is fantastic news Val. I am so glad to hear she is getting around so well. |
She's trying to get well fast because she wants to be with mommy again! |
AWWWWWWWWWWW sniff sniff happy tears for Chummie girl.
She just keeps on being absolutely amazing. |
It is funny that just to see her barking, get up and go outside makes me so happy when those are pretty ordinary dog behaviors. But she looks happy and comfortable. And that makes me happy and comfortable. |
Yay, yay, YAY! |
Val, try clicking on the camera icon. A smaller screen should appear with that picture in it. Right click on the smaller screen picture and choose save as. Then save it to the location.
I don't have it set up to be a full screen picture, so I'm not sure if that works or not with the full screen. Congrats on getting to see her! |
AWWWWWWWW! Chummie, way to go girl!!! |
That's fantastic news Val, you must be so relieved. Soon your girls will be home with you!! |
I saw Maggie and Chummie this morning at 7:28AM Eastern time.
I just finished installing the appropriate software to run the higher quality viewers, and I flipped through the cameras. I was just moving the cursor to close the window when I saw a shadow. Turns out the shadow was Maggie!!! She went in and out of the picture a couple of times and then I saw another shadow -- it was a worker assisting Chummie out to do her business too! I was a little sad to see that he was using a harness to support her front end, but I was thrilled to see the girls. They are up early in the morning there! |
Cool! I wish I had seen that!
I had been using the front harness with her but it was actually to support her rear -- she just hates the rear harnesses. By holding up her midsection seemed like enough help. The lady I spoke to last night told me that Chum doesn't want them to use the harness but they are continuing to do so in an abundance of caution. Did it look like she needed it? That would definitely impact whether I can bring her home while I am still using crutches. I saw her get up and down and go in and out a number of times last night and it didn't seem like she needed help but I didn't see her squatting. Just wait until Chum starts rocking that new doggie door you installed at your house. She'll be so excited. |
This is wonderful!!!! |
What good news to have the girls in a web cabin! Did I miss the link to watch them? |
Oh, I can't WAIT to see Miss Chum up and walking on her own!! As I've said so many times before, she is SUCH an inspiration! And you are the best possible Mommy for her!
Big hugs to all! |

I don't have it set up to be a full screen picture, so I'm not sure if that works or not with the full screen. Congrats on getting to see her! That works for me with the high quality viewer in the playroom but I can't get it to work with the cabin cam. |
wow!! i cant wait to tune in to the maggie/chummie cam! |
I've got Chummie cam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Woot! On the regular webcam page, I have a couple of extra tools next to the picture. The horizontal arrows above the camera icon - click on it and a drop down menu of numbers shows up. Click on the number 7 and there she is on the green blanket - taking a nap! Now I'm going to work on how to get the pictures to save. They may be small, but hey! I CAN SEE CHUM! |
Val! Okay, here you go!
Can you big screen her in the cabin? If so, hold down the "Control" key and the the "Print Screen" key - this copies it to the clip board and you can paste it to Word. It will also work on the smaller screen picture, just not the quality we want. I'll see if I can figure out how to save it as an independent picture. Not looking good yet. |
LOL! Love the enthusiasm!! If you can figure out how to save pictures, I would just love it. |
She looks great. It's hard to tell with the pictures coming once a second or whatever, but it looks like she is moving pretty well.
No luck on the pictures yet. <sigh> |
It seems like she really pops up and down. She seems way more mobile than before the surgery. Used tobe getting up was a slow act of heaving and forcing and she often needed help. I've seen her up and down and in and out so many times today. I am really encouraged. |
Val, that is such great news!!!
I can't wait to hear that you are all back together and EVERYONE is on the mend!!! |
Go Chummie girl, Go. |
