If someone could get him out, South East could take him into the rescue. |
Hi,
I checked out the shelters website and they said due to regulations animals can only be kept a short time. Gasp! Did you see their low fees? Kansas residents can adopt for as low as 5 dollars if the animal is already altered and then pay 5 license fee. Non Kansas residents don't have to pay the license fee. I do hope someone can spring this boy and the others in there with him. Marianne and the boys |
If anyone can get this sheepie-boy to Ingrid, please PM me ASAP... I can fund a portion of the fees. Please let me know.

Are any of the truckers available to take him south? sue |
Has anyone heard anything about this boy yet? |
I just spoke with Kansas City Animal Control about Otis and the gentlemen there both said that someone from Pennsylvania is scheduled to pick him up on Friday. The man in the kennel area said they had people who were interested in him and that he should be just fine. So this is very good news for Otis |
Ya, I'm starting my roadtrip on thursday. |
YOU'RE getting Otis?
Sweeeet! Are you adopting him or just transporting? ("Just" wasn't the right term here because transporting is a BIG thing.) Jaci |
I will be adopting him but have it set up with a rescue that if it don't work out they will take him into rescue and place him. I have to pick my daughter up at college in Va thursday and then we will head out to Ky. Think of me friday when we are heading home in my toyota corrolla it could be interesting. |
That's wonderful... congratulations! I think it's great too that you have a back up plan just in case he's not a match for you and your family.
You might want to make sure the loop of his leash is secured in a latched seat belt... just in case you or your daughter need to get out of the car. I heard of a dog getting spooked during transport that ran off... luckily they were able to get him back into the car with no harm done. But maybe you've done transport before... sorry if I'm saying something you already know. I'll be thinking of you on Friday! Good luck to you and thanks for adopting him Jaci |
WONDERFUL NEWS!!!! YOU ARE THE BEST! SUE |

we have been in touch with her and South East will help if things don't work out.
Have a safe trip. |

Wow! Supercool! |
That is fantastic news! Congratulations. |
Woo Hoo! I can't wait to hear all about him. |
Hey, I'm not in Kansas anymore. We got home this morning about 5:30am. He was wonderful. He jumped in the car and laid on the back seat the whole 17 hours. We stoped every 5 hours for potty breaks no accidents, car sickness, nothing. He is a absolut lover. Inraduced him to Abby and Kasey this morning and they are doing really good no issues yet except for a growel when Kasey got to close to his food this morning. His hair is sooooo matted , lots of dandruff, smells really really bad, and has worms. We started to shave him a little at a time so it is not so much for the groomer on Monday. He will be put on a weight reduction diet, he is over wieght and blubbery. The cat does not like him one bit, have to work on that. But he is a typical sheepie dog. Loves attention, has to be right with you and clownish. If things don't change he should fit in great. After he is cleaned and naked , I will post pics. He also seems to be house trained. |
Yay, that is just wonderful! I hope he's the perfect fit for your family. |
Thank you Thank you Thank you for all you did!!!!
Psss who has the angel wings...pass them along to bge. Marianne and the boys |
I'm so glad your trip went well
Oh, my.... I just saw the pictures you uploaded and is he ever cute! Love his haircut and t-shirt... I bet he was so happy to get that matted stuff off him. When you have a minute, please tell us how he's fitting in. Thanks for saving him! |
