Groomers in Kentucky
I am pretty new to the forum and have been reading a lot of great things but it seems like there is so much information out there. Just seems overwelming to me a new puppy owner. My puppy is 7 weeks old and I just don't know where to start. I read about the ear cleaning, toe nail clipping, brushing, washing, etc. and just don't know where/how/when to start doing all of it. Is there really that much grooming to do when they are 7 weeks old? When does these areas start becoming a problem for the dog if I don't do it? How often do you do these things? Is there a general guide on what to do and when to do it? I am lost so any help would be great. |

Your pup at 7 weeks old won't need much by way of grooming. However, it's best to get him used to it for the future. Start by touching his little feet, ears, mouth, every day. Maybe use a small pin brush and get him used to burshing. Even if you only do it for a minute or two. Your 7 week cute ball of fur will grow in no timeso its best to have him get used to being touched all over...especially the feet and nail area...just play with them and praise him... I'm sure everyone else with more experience will give you a few pointers as well. |

Does anyone know a good groomer in northeastern Kentucky? Or anyone who owns a sheepie in the area? |
