I just got the greatest dog in the world, a sheepie. Please welcome "Max" the newest member of our family. This is my first time owning an Old English Sheepdog but I have had other breeds in the herding family. So far my wife and I love him more than anything and have already cried when we took him to the vet because he wasn't feeling well. We have had "Max" for a few days and he has not been eating and using the bathroom a lot so we rushed him to the vet. They couldn't find anything but decided to keep him over night for observation. I just called and they said he is doing good and eating some food. I can't wait to have him back home, we miss him so much. http://www.cslab.uky.edu/~cequil2/images/Max3.jpg |

Welcome to the forum, and YAY Max!
what other herding breeds have you owned? That's a great pic of Max and the Moose spread! Pics must be hosted on oes.org to be shown inline in a post. There are instructions in the forum FAQs for pictures, but if you think you can wing-it with the almost intuitive interface, the photo galery is at http://photos.oes.org/ |
Welcome to the forum! |
Oh, is Max a doll!!!! I hope the little guy is feeling better soon and back home. It's obvious how much you love him. And welcome to the forum. |

I am supposed to call the vet back at 3:00 to make sure he is ready to come home. I can't wait. I have owned a Austrialian Shepard which is also I wonderful loyal family member as well but sadly he died several years ago...I still miss him. |

Hi Max
Welcome from Belgium. your puppy is so CUTE. wendy and gismo |
Thank you all for your interest in Max. Just called the vet and Max gets to come home. They are going to give him some medicine but he is going to be fine and gets to come home which is the important part. Thank you so much for everything...I know I will get to know all of you as family through this site. Hope things are going well with all of you and your sheepies. |
Welcome Max & Chad
So glad Max is fine!! Nice chatting to you. More pictures please |
Welcome! I'm glad to hear Max is feeling better! |
Oh, your Max is an adorable little peanut!
Glad you got good news and he's home tonight. |
Welcome Max, woof woof from sheepies girls from Sunny Australia. |
Hi Chad,
I'm so glad to hear MAX is ok and coming home wendy and gismo |
Thank you all for thinking about my poor little Max. He is back home and taking his medicine. He is more lively than ever now so I know he is feeling better. |
Hi all,
I wanted to tell you I put more pictures up of Max. I am sure there are more to come. |
What a cutie! Great pictures. How have he and the cats been getting along? |
Thanks to all of you who commented on how cute Max was he really likes to hear that from people. As for the cats, they keep their distance right now...I think they consider him a threat but all he wants to do is play. The girl cat gets pretty close to him but if she feels threatened runs off. The boy keeps his distance a little more than the girl and has swatted at Max and connected a few times but didn't hurt him. Thank goodness that the boy always keeps his claws in...he really never has them out hardly at all. Hopefully with time they will learn to live with each other. Any comments on how to make the situation work better? |
So, is his full name "Adorableus Maximus"? |
That would be a good name too, but his full name is "Maximus Rosco (Family Last Name)." |
He's super cute!! |
Max is gorgeous, I love his black/grey marking over his eye - thats a personal favourite I have with sheepies |
Welcome from San Francisco.
What a cutie! |
OMG! He is so adorable! I apologize for not welcoming you to he forum sooner.
I have to ask you where you purchased that adorable doggie bed. Your taste in furniture and colors are very similar to ours and we LOVE red. Goes great with black and white |
the new pics of Max are just adorable, keep em coming |
Welcome cute Max! |
Stacey, we got Max's bed at PetLand. Don't know how big of a pet chain store they are but we have two in our area in Kentucky and one had it and the other didn't. My wife loved it and she would settle for nothing less.
Max is feeling much better now and I wish we had our camera to take some more pictures because we have missed some good ones. Hopefully we will have our camera back this weekend and have some more pictures next week. WE LOVE MAX!!!! |
Sorry about the messing up your name Stacy!!!! I promise it won't happen again. |
Hey Ron I think I have put some of Max's Pictures in the grooming album. Could you help me and put them in the puppy album? |
Done. |
Welcome! Max is just precious
How old is he? He looks so small. |
The pictures of Max are when he was 7 weeks old. He has grown a lot since these pictures were taken. I am trying to get some more pictures this week. |

Welcome to the forum from PA! Max is just ADORABLE! Glad to hear he's feeling better. Now the fun begins!! |
Welcome to Max and his family from Massachusetts!
Max is so cute, love the photo album. Looks like he loves his home, especially his bed-ah, solid comfort. He's already has his eye on the beige sofa, one day soon he'll just walk on to it. Trust us, we know this for a fact. Have fun getting sheepie hugs and kisses! He is a real sweetheart , love his markings! Best wishes ! |
Welcome from Nova Scotia, Canada.

I have a feeling Max will be a spoiled boy, who could resist that sweet face |
I have posted more pictures...he is growing up so quickly and is as cute as ever. |
