Shortly after DH and I were married two years ago, I woke up one morning to Andy jumping around on the bed making this "woe woe WOE" noise. Obviously distressed about something. If he hadn't been so active, I would have thought he was hurt. I thought maybe his doggie door was locked and started for the family room to open it for him. Andy was running and bouncing ahead of me, stopping every few feet to make sure I was still back there. When I turned into the family room, he started the woe woe thing again and headed for the kitchen. Of course I followed him and found Joe making an omlet and there, on the counter, was CHEESE. me: Did you give Andy cheese? Joe: No, I was waiting till I was ready to put it in the omlet I sliced off a piece, gave it to the little furball, at which point he headed out of the kitchen, head up, tushy swaying. He paused at the entrance to the kitchen and looked over his shoulder at Joe with a look that definitely said "you'd better watch your step here, buddy" and pranced off with his cheese. We laughed so hard we had tears in our eyes. To this day, all Joe has to do is take the cheese out of the fridge and Andy's off to find me and snitch on him. Thanks to Ron and all for the wonderful board. I'm glad to be here. |

Welcome, what a cute story!! All of us who had our sheepies "pre-guy" can relate to the "breaking in" period!! |
Welcome! I absolutely love that story. Had me laughing as you gave us the details. |
Great story! Welcome tot he forum. |
Tasker's Mom - that's true about the breaking in period. They're best of buds now. In fact, Andy prefers to play with Joe as I stop when Andy gets too riled up. But he still comes to me to do the important things like fill his water bowl or take him for a walk. |
Welcome!!
Great story!! My Izzie is obsessed with ice and snow. Right now we have snow and she practically doesn't drink any water. She just wants to go on the deck and eat snow. Our latest storm blew the snow against the back door...so instead of going outside to eat it Izzie will just have us open the door and she starts snacking. Finally we just scooped some up and put it in her bowl. It was getting too cold in the house to keep the door open. |
