Dolly, I am so very sorry to hear this.
You did your best for Abby, but she was just too young and weak to pull through.... She is running and playing by the bridge, now, with all the other sheepies..... |

Stacy, if you're still looking for it, here's Abby's story: http://forum.oes.org/viewtopic.php?t=12316 Again, so sorry for your loss Dolly. Will be thinking of you & your family. |
Hi Dolly,
I am sorry you are going through this grief and am sending hugs your way. Abby is free from pain and may all the previous sheepies who passed before her, gather her in and keep her safe and happy with them. I know my Shaggy will be one of them. Marianne |
I am so sorry for your loss. |
I am overwhelmed the all the love and support we have received. Thanks to all of you. I know time will take care of this empty aching feeling we have right now. At least she is no longer suffering.
Bless all of you. |
I'm really sorry that you've had to go through all this, your heart must be breaking right now and my families thoughts are with you.
I know it will seem hard right now, but try not to be discouraged. Abby will always be in your heart and hopefully you'll be able to start again in the near future. We're new to this breed and we're still getting to know them. We went through a situation very similar to yours. We were completely heart broken. Luckily we came across our latest addition Bell and we have had much better luck this time around. She's only been with us a few weeks but she has really made an impression on us all. We still miss Ursa dearly but Bell has managed to raise our spirits and bring smiles to us all. Like I say, we're new to this world, we haven't even scratched the surace of the life with an oes. I don't know if you have any experice with them or not, but if not I, I just want to say 'don't give up'. You should know that you did a bang up job at helping Abby, You did all you could. Try and take some comfort in that. I'm sorry if I've waffled on a lot and I doubt my words are much consolation. Once again, we're all sorry for your loss and feel your pain. Rest in peace Abby. |
Dolly, I cant even find the words to tell you how deeply sorry I feel for the loss of little Abby. My eyes fill up with tears every time I turn to this thread, the one about her illness, or about little Elliot. Sheepdogs are so special, and they steal our hearts the moment they enter our lives. I'm glad that you at least were able to give Abby the love she deserved during her short time here. Bless you for that! |
I'm so sorry about Abby, it's never easy. I hope she left tiny pawprints on your heart and because of that you'll have another sheepie to love when you're ready. |
I'm so very sorry to hear about Abbey, |
So Sorry to hear about abby dolly

Again, I am so sorry. |
I am so sorry poor Abby had to go through such pain,
and leave this way and this soon |
Dolly I am so sorry to hear about your baby Abby. having just lost my own sheepie in December, I am with you all the way on the heartbreak. I really hope that this breeder in shut down and their licence taken away - no consolation to you and your family I know, but it may help prevent other cases.
Thinking of you, Debbie Shep's mama |
I lost 2 sheepies at 5.5 because I got them from a bad breeder in Southern Oregon later moved to Washington. They were 2 great sheepdogs (we have had 4) and these two were so special because the worked together on everything. One of mine was Abby also and the other was Suzy. I think the breeders name was Jones from Christmas Valley. Right after the passing of the girls we ran into a lady and her sheepdog (Oliver) from Washington. Oliver was 3.5 and has already had shoulder replacement. He came from the same breeder , just 2 years later. |
