All of you have met Miss Ellie; She's not a large Sheepie, actually, very petite at 50lbs. This is the foot rail on my bed; The space between the metal tubes is 6 inches. Miss Ellie is very possessive of the chewy bones in the house. She can be sound to sleep and hear Buffett think about picking up one of the bones. She will leap to her feet and dash to the bone, passing underneath Buff, like she's sliding into home. Last night, Ellie was lying in bed with Michael and me. Buff made a noise, Ellie woke from a sound sleep, thinking he was going to take the bone off her bed. She didn't exactly jump off our bed to get to the bone, she jumped through it. She went through the metal tubes as it must have been the shortest route to her bed on the floor. It happened so fast, I thought I was mistaken on what I had witnessed. I looked at Michael and he had the same shocked look on his face. He saw exactly what I saw! My next thought was Oh my god, Ellie has to be hurt after that stunt. I jumped out of bed and ran my hands over her looking for broken parts. She was fine. Has anyone’s Sheepie done a "cat trick" squeezing through a hole the size of their head? |

LOL Your description of the events made me laugh...
I'd say if she slipped through fast enough that you weren't sure what you were seeing, she fit just fine |
Super- Sheepie! Where there is a will there is a way!!! |
LOL |
AMAZING A sheepie contortionist. |
Wow, glad she's OK! |
Take the ruler and measure her from shoulder to shoulder. You'll see why people underestimate how small a hole a dog can squeeze thru. Better your bed than the fence outside. Silly sheepie |
Wow! And she looks so dignified. Appearances are so deceiving. What a sweet acrobat! Please give her kisses from me and ask her to be careful! |
WOW! |
That's hilarious!! Perhaps you'll have to revise the old saying "where there's a will, there's a way" to "where there's a sheepie, there's a way". |
