I am sure many people will suggest taking your dog to the vet to be checked out. Then looking into allergies. It could be either environmental or food allergies. If you use the search funtion on the forum tons of threads about various allergies and allergic reactions will pop up.
thanks. we havent tried any other new foods and she has the same environment . this has just happen for about a month.i gave her some raw eggs for her coat because we have been cold here and she only goes outside to use the bathroom and i thought that the heat being on might have something to do with it.
You might also consider a thyroid test... low thyroid can do funny things sometimes. IF she's borderline, you might ask about a month trial on a thyroid med like Soloxine.

"...dry, scaly skin and dandruff..."

Sometimes they may have only a couple of the symptoms and still have low-thyroid.

I don't know for sure, but I believe dogs can become allergic to food even if they were fine with it before. Same for environment. Kind of like people...develop different issues as they age.
How old is your sheepie?

You're right. Often times, around the age of 2 years of age, allergies will begin to show up in dogs that had been fine. Two of mine did exactly that. Both are low thyroid and have environmental allergies- the triggers are molds and dust mites.

Here are a couple of links that talk about both food and environmental allergies and their symptoms. Maybe they will help you decide how to proceed or rule them out.

You should probably consult your vet to find out what is actually causing the itching. While there, ask your vet about adding an fish oil supplement like Derm Caps or other brand to her food daily. It can help with dry skin.
she is 7years old and has never had any skin problems before.i guess that ill have to take her to the vet. she is just a maniac in the car.she barks continuously and skakes the car left to right. then there is the small problem of peeing and pooping in the car because she gets that excited!!!
It would probably still pay you to have her thyroid checked to rule that out completely.

If that comes back normal then you know then you are dealing with an allergy problem. Either from something in the enviroment or food related.

It then gives you a starting point to work out what is going on with her to rule the thyroid out firstly.

Raw eggs should only be given as Raw Egg Yolk, not the whites raw. If you want to give her a whole egg then scramble/cook it firstly.
