Do you know what size crate it is? We have the second-to-largest crate for our boy, and i know several others have the largest size available. I prefer the wire crate as it allows the dog to see more of the surroundings, but if she does well in the hard one I would look for a size that is slightly bigger. |
The crate is 30" lx 27" H x 19" w. |
Your dog should be able to stand up with his head up, turn around and lay down completely in his crate if you plan to use it regularly for extended periods. Often the crates used to ship are much smaller than a crate for every day would be. |
Thanks for the info |
We have many crates (d/t having many dogs )
The 2 Chewie uses are: Plastic crate: 40L x 27W x 30H Wire crate: 36L x 24W x 27H He likes the plastic one best. Good luck with your new dog. |
Welcome to the forum! |
When we crated our dogs they were in a Great Dane sized one....As an adult they should have as much room as possible.
Please ignore the awful picture of Dixe the night we got her (she would kill me if she knew!) but you get the picture. Actually, it was 1 year today that this picture was taken! |
Poor prisoner Dixie!
Maggie also has a 36 inch crate. I prefer the plastic ones. |
The size I am not sure of but it is wire and it is either the biggest or the second biggest. I bought it for Obe when he was a pup and it came with a divider so that I could increase the size it as he grew. He can stretch out, sit up, or stand in it and has plenty of room. I figured just get one of the bigger ones to start instead of buying two or three as he grew. Still growing by the way. |
