Reynoldsburg is in OHIO. She does kinda look familiar. I might have seen her on petfinder. She's lovely. |

| Craigslist (.org) is a free online classified ads section. It has been known to be a place people sell stolen goods, but it is also pretty useful sometimes. I found my NYC apartment on Craigslist a few years ago! They have rules on selling pets - no selling pets, but can post pets in need of rehoming for a small adoption fee. No specification on what a "small" adoption fee is. |
| She is in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. It's about 15-20 from downtown Columbus. I am currently trying to find a home for her. I am more than willing to go pick her up as she is not far at all, however, I cannot foster her at this time.
Monty goes in tomorrow for his teeth! Poor guy... 
Does anyone know of a family or person who may be interested? |

I contacted the kitty rescue that also posted this sheepie on PetFinder. They said they heard that an OES rescue stepped up to help her as she was close to being taken to the pound. They thought the rescue drove in from West Virginia.  IF it's WV, who's in WV??

| It's Hoffma, I just haven't logged in yet. It was Ally and she went to a farmer whose OES had passed away. Through the grapevine, his is a nice and loving man and obviously has had experience with OES. |
| You're right. I just got off the phone with Michele and she said that Ally went to a man with 3 acres and that she seemed happy. I really hope it works out for her this time around. Sometimes it's best to go to the source... sometimes you're still left wondering though. |
| Hi, This is Mellow.
this was my dog Allie not ally I adopted her out to michele because of the problems I was having with her and the baby. She was supposed to return her to me if she couldn't keep her for any reason. She now refuses to contact me. She was NOT on the verge of going to the pound as I had someone who was an inch away ready to go pick her up and bring her back to me. There is no way a rescue stepped up and took her. I had a couple people here on the board that were assisting me as well. I need the info on who she went to. This lady michele misrepresented her on that ad on petfinder. The new owners should know about her issue with other dogs and small children. I trusted Michele she was VERY nice at the time and watched me cry very harshly when Allie was going home with her. She gave me a hug and promised me pictures and promised that I could come see her anytime I wanted. I am sorry to everyone for being a trusting person. If any of you can help me get the new owners email address or find the so called rescue that stepped up (if such a thing ever happened) please do so in which that I can get her info to them. I was advised by someone that I shouldn't post on the board about my problem and now am sorry I didn't. This person lied about Allie, lied to me, and who knows who else. I don't even know why. I know Allie the best and I need to make sure she is in the right situation with the right family. This has taken over my life. I can't sleep, or stop crying. for all of you who think I was being irresponsible or stupid I am sorry you feel that way but at the time I was under the impression that I was dong the right thing for my doggie and my family. She refuses any contact with me so if someone can help me just get the new owners email address let me know. Pray that she is okay

Was this the dog that belonged to girl who's forum name was mellow? Her dog's name was Ally and it did look a lot like that dog.

| Yes, that's Ally... she was Mellow's sheepie. I didn't make the connection until early this morning but by that time it was too late for me to try to help but I tried to follow up to make sure she was safe.
I got conflicting info from the person with the kitty rescue that listed her as a courtesy on PetFinder... the kitty rescue said the lady that had her was close to taking her to the pound because of the kitty issue. They also mistakenly told me that a rescue came to get her.  So I called Michele this morning and she confirmed what Hoffma said... that Ally went to a man with 3 acres. |

| yes I have ads up online trying to find her and asked the new owner to contact me. The kitty rescue responded to one but I am not answering because I know they were helping that michele Thanks to the posting on here I found. Why all the lies? I just want to know what is going on? I didn't do anything wrong except help flag there ads down off craigslist. and she is just peed off about that.
I will just keep looking for her. I had numerous people email me today saying that they were going to adopt her but just kept asking questions to Michele about Allies past and even her name but she would not tell them and background info. I even had some lady say she ws supposed to go see Allie tomarrow night and I emailed her back saying that couldn't be possible cuz she already got rid of her... Mellow ~ |
| Hi, I am the kittie rescue, I simply gave back the info I was told. The lady emailed me and gave me info on her and said she was taking her to the pound. Then OES rescue emailed me wanting to take her. I got really confused and just forwarded. But I was not aware she was rescue. I noticed her on craigslist and then she was adopted, then she was on there again. I have been told so many things, if anyone would like to straigten things out (I MIGHT be able to track her down) feel free to email me at kittensunlimited@yahoo.com
I am not sure why I am being picked to blame, this makes me have doubts about your group as you juge before the facts are in.

| Nobody is blaming you for anything, they are just naming you as the place where they got certain info. Besides, no judgements have been made, a discussion is going on where people are trying to understand the issues and the facts.

| I just want to say that the entire situation surrounding Alley was crazy. We were all misinformed and misunderstood and hearing 20 different stories about her.
The great thing is that we were able to somewhat figure out the situation and place Alley in her forever home, and it was understood that she will never be placed on Craigslist again!
Please don't feel blamed. Again, no one really got a straight story about her, but working together, we were able to piece the puzzle together (and there were a lot of pieces!).  |
| Sorry, I just felt blamed for all of it. The most I know is that I had posted an add on craigslist trying to adopt out another dog, and stated that I was a rescue. The lady that had Alley emailed me and asked if I could courtisy post Alley on my page, so I did. Even though I listed her contact info I still got alot of emails, one from a rescue group out of state. I forwarded them all on to her. She emailed me the next day and said that the rescue group who emailed me was comming to get him. So I took him down. Then I started to get nasty emails claiming she was stolen, that I was mis-representing her, ect. The FIRST thing the lady who emailed me about her told me was that Alley was attacking her cat, and if she did not find a home within the next week she was going to the pound. Hopefull that clears some things up. |

Weren't you curious as to why the lady wouldn't post the dog herself? If someone is unable to post something on Craigslist, there's a reason. I'm not even involved at all, so I certainly have no reason to be upset with you (and I'm not), but this jumped out at me right away. There's no reason not to post something on Craigslist on your own unless you are afraid of the item (in this case Allie) getting tied back to you. In the future I would be very leary of anyone asking you to post anything on their behalf... chances are there is a reason they don't want to post it themselves. I do hope though that you wont let this experience stop you from trying to help other dogs in need in the future. |

| It wasn't craigslist that I posted her on for this lady, it was petfinder, I found her off craigslist, but she posted the dog on there herself.... hope that makes more sence. |
| allie is due for her shots (except rabies) on July 27. I just got a note from the vet in the mail. Thought I would post thinking that maybe Hoffma could pass that along to the rescue person who helped find her a home since I have lost emails.
