SHOTS

HOW OFTEN DO YOU GET SHOTS FOR YOUR DOG. IS IT A ONCE A YEAR THING, OR WHAT. I DON'T WANT TO DO IT TO OFTEN, AND I READ SOMEWHERE THAT VETS WILL SAY THE SHOTS ARE SAFE TO GIVE WHENEVER, ONLY NEW SIENCE SAYS THAT IS NOT TRUE AND YOU SHOULD WAIT EVERY TWO YEARS...I'M JUST NOT SURE I MEAN AREN'T I SUPPOSED TO BE ABLE TO TRUST THE VET? :? HELP PLEASE. :D

Our holistic vet has recommended that, instead of giving Oscar all of his yearly shots, we should test his blood for the titer levels first. This way we can see his antibody levels and determine whether or not he needs a booster. (Oscar has allergies and Inflammatory Bowel Disease, so giving him unneeded vaccines throws his immune system into overload.)

So when I start getting the cards from my regular vet for his yearly shots, I will have his blood tested and determine how to proceed.
