Meet Beauford

Hello everyone. We just became owners of a comedian named Beauford!!. He is the cutest little furball around. He is 3 months old. Passed his first vet visit yesterday with flying colors. He has the cutest button nose with a pink streak down the middle that makes it look heartshaped. He has settled in real well with the family. THe first night in the crate was a nightmare but he has now become familiar with it and no longer cries. He will be in our family a whole week on saturday and has adjusted quite well with other family members, including cheyenne a German Shepherd, Goldie, Bandit, and Panther our three cats.

He is so much fun and such a comedian. He has found the remote control very tasty and we have to hide it from him. He finds it easily if we leave in the usual place of the arm of the chairs or he finds it on the end tables. I dont know why he likes it so much LOL! :?

He brings smiles and laughter to our lives everyday and I am so grateful we found him. He was the last left in the litter. THe breeder said that most people want a white head but for that I am glad because they are missing out on such a wonderful personality!!!! He loves to cuddle. Our German Shepherd is independent and hates cuddling so this is a great asset for us.

I cant brag enough about how cute and lovable he is!!!!!!!!!!!! Tooo cute!!!!

That's wonderful! Welcome to the forum and welcome Beauford! I love his name and I think his markings are beautiful (patches on eyes are the best!)... although I can't see them too well from your avatar... you'll just have to upload more pictures for us to gush over!

I'm glad to hear you are crate training him and that he's getting used to the crate. Has he started to give you signals when he needs to go potty?

If you haven't already, start touching him all over every single day. Stick your fingers between his paw pads, touch inside his ears, look inside his mouth, touch his belly (that one's easy!), his rear end, everything! It's never too early to get him used to being touched all over. This will make grooming easier for you in the future.

Can't wait to hear more about him! I love his name! :clappurple:
Hey....what a nasty trick, tell us about that cute nose and no pictures??

  Welcome aboard! Do share all this cutie's antics. We love hearing about them.

As far as the remote.....it had your hand scents all over it. If he can't chew your hand, this remote will do. Also his mouth hurts.....he's still a baby. Shove those chew toys in between those sharp teeth.
I've been trying all morning to get the pictures to upload and I am having trouble. Maybe they are too big I'll try again.
It does look like he's in good with his GSD buddy. Welcome to the forum. Your Beauford is a cutie pie. :D

BTW, do you pronouce his name "Bow ford" or "Bu ford"?
Welcome to the forum! Saw the pictures on your other post - Beauford is adorable!! :hearts:

How do you pronounce his name? As in, Bo-ford, or as in Be-u-ford (like beau-tiful)? Our first sheepie's name was Buford (as in beau-tiful) and I've always LOVED the name.

And welcome fellow Pennsylvanian! I'm in Northampton, about 10 miles from Allentown and Bethlehem. Mandy (Maxmm) is in Harrisburg, too. So is Shellie.

Too cool! 8) 8)

Wow another Harrisburg member! Welcome & good luck with your pup!
Hi and Welcome from Canada!

He's gorgeous and I love your avatar with his big brother. One of my boys had that little streak in his nose and I missed it when he eventually lost the pink.

Can't wait to see more photos and hear of upcoming adventures of this sweet little guy!

Marianne and the boys (Blue, Merlin and Panda)
Welcome from San Francisco.

Pictures!!!!
Thank you for all the warm welcomes. We call him Bu-Ford. He is beautiful!!!! He went to meet grammy and pappy last night and won their hearts. He was told if he ever has a problem he can come stay at their home. They had an OES back in the 80's and miss him but are older now and dont have the energy it takes to take care of a dog. They of course had to break out the camera and get pictures with him sitting on their laps. How fun!! Their oes was named Tangham after a town in England. I am still trying to figure out the picture uploading deal. I dont know if my pics are too big or not. I didnt realize there were so many sheepies in PA.
What a cute name. Welcome from Maryland, everyone here is so nice. You will enjoy this group. I have a GSD also, but she likes to snuggle as well as my Labs but my Sheepie just pushes his fuzzy butt in the middle and won't take no for an answer!! Gotta love them sheepies :D
AND I have a terrible time posting pictures !! A friend did all of mine. One day I will figure it out....
Welcome fom cold Saskatoon, SK.

Puppies are so much fun, but you have to keep one eye on them at all times. I'm really glad that you are crate training him, you won't regret it at all.
Something that might help is having lots of dog toys and chew bones laying around in each room for him. Maddie shredded a 24 double roll package of TP in a matter of 5 minutes when she was 3 months old, so I can relate.
If found that if I kept a couple of the beefeaters Dog Treats (rawhide bones) from Costco laying around on the floor she chewed them and not anything else, she still really likes her chew bones. I really like the beefeeders bones because they are about 12" long and the dogs can chew on them and not break the coat on their legs and feet. I only let the chew about half the bone and then I toss them in the garbage. I'm really glad that you are crate training him, you won't regret it at all. Something else that might help is having lots of dog toys laying around for him.
Enjoy him lots.

Lavella and the two fuzzbutts Rigley and Maddie
Welcome and congrats on your new puppy!
