Merlin and the new groomers....
We got to the grooming place and they asked if Merlin was good with other dogs. I don't really know if he is or not since he hasn't seen any other dogs in quite a while. They put all the dogs in their care into crates so Merlin could enter the grooming room. The nice lady offered him a treat, I said he normally doesn't take treats from strangers. She and I continued to chat and all of a sudden Merlin went and nudged her and took the treat! Then she said how about if we try him with the other dogs.....all the dogs there today were female so I said he would probably fine. Slowly they let out the dogs, Merlin met each one and was fine....after about 10 minutes he was walking around like he owned the place! He did not seem stressed at all and so I left to go do some errands. I got a call about an hour and 1/2 later. He was all ready to be picked up. He let them fully bathe and groom him, nails included. They were so impressed with his behavior on the grooming table and he is invited to come back ANYTIME. He looks absolutely beautiful! They 'fixed' my shaving mishaps and he is all fuzzy and smells so nice and clean. Tomorrow is Avalon's turn.....haha I told them her nickname is "The Beast" haha. Hopefully she will behave for them. I am not worried about her like I was about Merlin...I'm sure she will win them over with all the kisses she will give them !! Thank you Nicole, for the recommendation....YAY we FINALLY found a WONDERFUL groomer here! |

| I am so glad to hear, that, Kim! I was thinking of Merlin all day, hoping I wouldn't get an email from you about how didappointed you were, again, by a groomer....And that Merlin was traumatized....
