Musher's Secret is good as well as Bag Balm. We also had a lab who would chase a ball for hours, the winter weather and the dry heat indoors is as hard on their paws and skin as it is ours. Hope it heals soon, Kathy
BTW, try to keep clean, dry and apply often. He may also want to lick once you've put the med on. |
Bag balm is a cure-all thing! No, really, we used it on our horses all the time I was growing up. We can't find it in FL but if you can grab some pick it up!!! |
I've used it on myself it's great, I'm a nurse and washing 12 hrs a day your hands take quite a beating. Bag Balm is the absolute best thing I've found when they get bad. Check out feed mills and at farm/tractor centers. |
There is some liquid skin product - I'm not sure of the exact name. My MIL used it with good success on her hands. She was a rural letter carrier (retired now) and her hands cracked open every winter when delivering mail. It kept the cracks glued together so they could heal, instead of continuously cracking and bleeding. |
