I've wondered about this a lot, myself! My pup Bert gets hiccups all the time! I'll be curious to hear what people have to say about it. The hiccups have had me a little worried too, even though it is kind of cute! |
From what I've read here on the forum, it's a common thing for puppies to develop. |
Every dog I've ever had has had hiccups as babies Perfectly normal |
Yep! hehehe |
Yes, it is normal in puppies. No cause for alarm. |
I did some reading on the hiccups and it seems normal...Said a puppy sometimes takes in alot of air when they're eating and that's what causes the hiccups...makes sense...glad to hear nothing serious! |
My 6 month old pup has them often as well. Ever since I got him he has gotten the hiccups. Sometimes after he is eats, other times just at random. Glad to hear it is nothing to be alarmed about. It seemed normal as the go away as quickly as they came. |
Even 2 legged babies have hiccups frequently, he'll grow out of them. I always got a chuckle out of it, they look so cute.....Kathy |
They will go away. Frank used to hiccup all of the time... |
I remember the first time he got them, it was at night right after I got him. I was sleeping right next to the kennel. It woke me up and I thought he was sick. Then realized it was just the hiccpus. Felt bad for him but it was rather cute. They went away and a couple minutes later he was back asleep. First time parent kid or dog. Had to make sure my boy was okay. |
