We looked for 2 years for the breed of dog we wanted, then another 6 months for a breeder. We are confident an oes will be a perfect fit for our family. I wanted to wait until we brought the pup home to introduce myself (so I could post pics), but I am too excited...so...OUR PUPPY WAS BORN TODAY!!! I just want to say "Thank You" to everyone who has asked questions, answered questions, and told stories. Thanks to you, Casey and I knew what questions to ask and what to look for in a reputable breeder. We are ready to bring our puppy home! (I have even created a binder with information for easy access!) I look forward to being a member of this valuable resource. Thanks again! |

Best wishes on the new arrival, the worst part is the wait of 8 weeks. Hope that flies by, in the meantime, puppy shopping is fun to fill in the weeks before the new arrival comes home.

Do you have a specific gender reserved or are you waiting to meet the pups? We thought we wanted a girl but found that a certain boy's personality suited us best. Do you have name(s) in mind? Sometimes they seem to pick their own name...

How far will you have to go to get your new baby? |
Well, we are wanting a male. After playing with quite a few oes's we think a male's personality will suit us best too! We actually had a few fights over the name  , but finally decided on Oliver (Oli for short). We have started shopping for him, it is so addictive! I really want to find one of those shower heads that hooks to the tub spout for baths! Just looking at everyone's pics gets us so excited, I will post pics as soon as possible, I know how much I enjoy looking at everyone else's.
There were 6 puppies in the litter. The breeder was disappointed in the number of pups born, but was very happy with their size. She said they were all large pups, and were all in good health. Four females, and two males. We'll get to pick which male we want. One has an all white head, and the other has an all white head with one black tipped ear. Now we are just waiting for them to open their eyes to see what color they are. To be honest, I've never seen an oes that was ugly, so we aren't being too picky on looks! Although I do really like the ones that look like they have on eyeliner. She said that if we didn't want either of these pups we could wait for the next litter, but I think the only problem we'll have is only bringing home 1! |

And, by the way, I agree - you definitely should get some kind of attachment to make bathing easier... you'll need it with a big playful puppy! We have the shower head on a long hose, and I can't imagine how we would survive without it! |
