this is a very comfortable room for her and she has her toys, but I thought she would consider this HER bed and not pee and poop. What's wrong with the floor??? I bought the wee wee pads and she thinks it's a rug. All she does is lay on it. Any ideas as to the cause and cure???? |

How old is your dog? Is the dog housebroken?
I am guessing your dog is not housebroken. You should read the forum on crating. |
Does this only happen when you're out of the room or when she can't get to you? It might be separation anxiety if this is the case. Been through that before with our Panda who was also a rescue. She too pooped/peed on the bed and on the chaise lounge We couldn't even have a closed door between us. She also had a wet beard most of the time and would howl if crated... and she'd get into things she shouldn't. Toys and even other dogs didn't ease the anxiety... she had to be with her humans. She's made a big improvement over the 1 1/2 years we've had her.
Here's a link about Separation Anxiety and ways to help cope IF you think this might be what's causing the problem... http://www.veterinarypartner.com/Conten ... ourceID=42 You might need to remove her from the bedroom unless your in there to supervise her. Panda couldn't be crated because of severe SA so we finally settled on my workroom. The kitchen was a big mistake because we were never diligent enough to make sure everything was picked up. The room has a tile floor with a washable bed. She's only restricted to this room when we have to leave on an errand and she seldom wets on the floor anymore. I hope this will help you figure out how best to help your sheepie-girl. Jaci |
If she is an older dog or has pain in her hindquarters, she may have a form of incontinence. I would talk to a vet about the problem. |
