You need to contact a rescue in your area, there is a link on this forum to the different rescues .
http://www.oes.org/html/oes_rescue.shtml The rescue will help find an appropriate home for your dog and insure an easy transition. I don't know what it means that you dog bit the new owner, there are so many variables. But it does not necessarily mean that he is mean or viscious. There are lots of reason a dog may lash out. An OES rescue near you will be a big help. |
Please re-house the dog through an OES rescue, they are the best to find a suitable new home for your OES. Experienced in all things sheepie and experienced in finding suitable homes for them.
Sorry to hear about your OES, but your daughters health is the main concern. Best wishes to you all. |
It sounds like they may be in England. Do we have any rescue contacts over seas? |
Here is a link for appropriate rescue-re-housing contacts in the UK and surrounding areas.

Hi SharonRush
Sorry to hear that Archie bit someone. Please private message me so that I can share some information with you. |
Hello Sharonrush,
We took in a rescue OES from the No. CA rescue group and she bit my husband. He was hugging her and she didn't like it. I almost called the rescue group to send her back, but instead, we began the hugging process again giving her more personal space to begin with... and less as the days passed. She never bit him again.... and loves hugs. Possibly the new owner was expecting too much from a dog that is feeling anxious. I wouldn't worry about her personality just yet.... and the earlier comments are correct... I would utilize a rescue group who finds placements with homes that understand the breed. By the way.... your daughter may not be alergic to a no-shed dog.... I can also recommend the Scottish Terrier and Tibetan Terrier breeds (had them both and they are wonderful). |
