Wow... how scary! I'm glad it all turned out ok... at least it wasn't in a garage or something... |
THAT IS SO ONE OF MY FEARS!! I'm so glad your furkid was okay when you guys were able to open the car up!!!
You describing the cemetery as "quiet" for some reason made me laugh. Not sure why. |
Poor you!! Poor Willoughby!!!!!!!!!!
Glad it all came out allright. |
So sorry about that scarey experience, glad all turned out ok |
Willoughby was probably sitting in the car and wondering what was up with his mom....why is she acting crazy and running all around in the rain?
So glad that the story had a happy ending...I probably would have a heart attack if that happened to me |
Oh my gosh!
After all was done, at least the truck was warm for the drive home. |
I wonder if Willoughby was thinking, "boy this car smells like wet person"?
Glad all turned for the best. |
Ohhh that was a horrible adventure and I can see how you'd be so frantic! Worse it had to be a wet miserable night. Glad Willoughby was okay and how is your back doing Lynda?
Group hug being sent to you Marianne |
OMG how scary!
I am glad both you and Willoughby are okay. |
How scary. I'm glad to hear all ended well.
I wonder if he did think you smelled like wet human! |

Glad all turned for the best. LOL |
Sounds like Wills wasn't bothered at all....he probably wondered why mom thought HE could drive the car home. I must confess that I've given BOTH my children keys to the car doors (and the house) just in case. The key hunt has become quite a joke in our house. Glad it all turned out alright...but did it have to be in the rain? |
That is so scary!! I am so glad for the happy ending. |
Glad to hear from you ! Willoughby suffered no ill effects, thank goodness. My back hasn't been the same since so I'll need to see my chiropracter soon! All I could think of at the time was carbon monoxide poisoning and heat stroke. I'm so relieved to hear that my response to this incident (hysterics) wasn't completely nuts. I live alone and usually cope with anything including this last move to the big city from one of the most beautiful places in Canada: the Okanagan. I really miss it. But where my furry children are concerned, I tend to lose it.
The cemetery is actually very interesting. It's our escape from noise and heavy traffic in our area that makes walking unpleasant and sometimes dangerous. The landscaping is beautiful, visitors are generally but not always well behaved. I was also quite interested in the degree of respect for the departed demonstrated by relatives. Willoughby and I now know many of them by sight. Some ethinc groups have interesting rites. The most surprising was a party on an asian family grave under an awning with music, food , drink and dancing on the 1st of July. |
I'm so glad he's ok! It would have been terribly scary!! |
OH MY I would of been a raving screaming lunatic.
Glad it all worked out well. |
Scary! Although your pup was probably thinking something like "hmmm, I really like the flavor of beef..."
"Did I pee on that fence this morning, or did I forget?" "I bet I could drive this thing" "She must have gone to get me a hamburger" "Here she comes..." "Seems upset about something"... |

Willoughby probably was thinking along those lines. Now that it's over and all is well it's begining to seem very funny! |
I am glad things turned out well for you both!! I would have done the same thing!!! My dog may have drove away!!!I have a cousin that also walks his dog in a cemetery,he has a Lab and she enjoys the squirleys!!! |
