Milo had surgery today and came through fine.
He got a trim last week, but now he has a bald spot on the right side of his face, on his right side, and on both front legs. Seems the vet went ahead and removed another growth on his side, free of charge (haha yeah right I still have a big bill). Since he was a rescue, he had rather bad plaque on his teeth and they found tumors in his gums where food had become embedded. I guess they cleaned him up really well and said he is like a new dog. Now we just have to wait on the results from precautionary biopsy of the growth under his eye. But the doc wasn't too worried. I am heading down to his Moms tomorrow so I will get to see him then. I don't know if I should to try and take pictures or not. Don't want to embarass the boy.  |

What a good mom you are taking care so well of your furball! I'm sorry Milo had to go through it all but I'm sure his mouth feels so much better. | Well, the biopsy came out negative, so there are no worries. Everything seems to be healing fine, although we have to watch him because he will occasionally scratch at the stitches under his eye.
He is quite the looker right now, were calling him disheveled sheepie! His mom wouldn't let me take pictures, although I did end up getting a few of him using her as a butt pillow on the couch that I will have to post up later!
He has such pretty pearly whites now too. It is amazing how much better his breath smells. Once his hair grows back I think were going to have a tough time keeping all the girls away from him. Thanks for all the warm wishes, I passed them all on to him. He is finally feeling his old self again and got to lay on the deck in the sun and go to the park today and stretch his legs today.  |
