ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhh!!! I like him! He's got that cute teddy bear personality that I find endearing! Well, and he's from TX which is enough reason for me to cheer for him. 
In an interview, Simon was asked who he predicted to go to the finals, he said this year is like Season I ...in that, it's absolutely hard to tell because there is such a wide variety that can easily surprise him, but there were a few girls, and ONE guy that he saw making it. He said the guy was someone who had an amazing voice, but didn't LOOK the part of AI. I bet he was talking about this guy. |

Look, I realize he might not be able to do it with ABBA songs or 50 Cent or whatever else they toss at them, but this guy's got the blues. |

I LOVED the footloose guy (Topher) who came on to show his wife who just left him for another man that he can make something of himself. I felt terrible that he didn't make it, but he was hilarious! |
I missed it!!  I wanted to see that guy, but I forgot to turn the TV on and I wasn't TiVOing it. Is it available on the web anywhere?
The only audition I got to see what near the end there was this cute girl who sings background vocals. She was pretty good, too. |

| Wow, range, control and projection. If he trims that goatee and buttons at least one more button I think he'll do amazingly well.
Must be his presence that causes him problems. He seems shy when he sings and just needs to own it and he'd be great. Wonder why he hasn't gotten signed yet? Very cool! |
| Wow!! He is good. I like him. That little bit of shyness works for him. Clean him up a bit and he really could be the next American Idol. I agree with Simon that he blows Taylor Hicks right out of the water.

| Nice voice. I'm all for the crazy beards, but his is a little too distracting. I think he should shave it off & go for a soul patch. I think a little makeover will do him wonders for the star persona!

He came on as I was replying to Ron's post, so I missed what exactly happened, but I THINK he made it through to Hollywood???? Anyway, I did hear them say he had a good voice but didn't look like an idol, so I wonder if it was THAT guy Simon was talking about that he thinks should/will make it to the finals. I think it's got to be him or Ron's guy. |
| He said that about Sundance, at least... I think it was "I'd be surprised if he didn't make it to the finals" if I recall correctly.
I've watched the video a few times now -- I hope he's not a one style wonder. The more I listen I wonder what else he can do. Oh well. Perhaps I'll actually get sucked into watching this the whole season. If I do that, perhaps I need to get cable, though my local Fox station is fairly good over the air. |

| Last night (Birmingham) was just plain CRAZY. What are these people thinking. THey are all a bunch of NUT CASES. I suppose they must intenitonally show the wackos but OMG, ARE THEY SERIOUS??????????
The one lady, over 50 dresses in bright yellow, "full figured"  who was flasing her belly was really a bit over the top.
I like to hear the people sing who CAN, not the NUT JOBS!! I think that is why I like the Grease program more, it's about real talent. ANDDDDDDDDDd where was Paula last night and I think Simon is a jerk (I know, who doesn't). |
