Nipping

Help needed. We have a 7month OES and he is nipping everyone in his path.Is this just a faze?He seems to only start niping when he is excited or when anyone is eating at the table.
He is also going crazy half way through his walks.
Any ideas on how to stop him nipping. We have been giving him toys as soon as he goes for us but he just drops them and heads straight for us instead..... :

Has he always done this or is it a brand-new thing? Have you been to obedience school?
No,he only started nipping about 2months ago.We have arranged to go to obedience school in 3weeks time.We have started training him ourselves. He sits and lies down no problem.
Probably a Faze and also part of being a Herding dog too. Also he is still probably teething as well. Google in the box at the top "Nipping" and there is lots of young OES that go through this stage. Plenty of ideas and advice to re-direct this behaviour. Have a read through all the topics on this, there will be plenty there to read to help you at this stage.

Yes it has to be curbed as youngsters turn into large kids with bigger teeth. 8O
