Any tips on that and how not to hurt his feelings. He is a very sensitive boy and we might hurt his feelings if we laugh at him. |

Just keep telling him what a FINE LOOKING BOY he is and he'll be ok!!!
And, post pics!!! |
I'm trying not to laugh because we made the mistake of giggling at Max when he got his first shave I was absolutely shocked at the sight of my fluffy doggy so bare!! My kids were with me and we all laughed, and poor Max just looked so puzzled. The groomers told us not to laugh because it made him feel self-conscious!! So we all gave Max lots of hugs and told him what a handsome dog he is. So try not to laugh at Truman and he'll be just fine

Our Maggie McGee was not only self-conscious when she was shaved down but chilly as well. She liked having her doggie-sweatshirt on for at least a week after her haircut. |
I can't give any advice on this one, I threw up as soon as I saw Chauncey last summer when we had him shaved. |
A big cuddle for him and tell his he is still a Handsome boy and a tee-shirt, to hide his nekid look if he feels embarrassed. |
Oliver would punish me with resentful looks while pouting the entire day following a clean sheep sweep. He was so mean, I couldn't resist sending a few chuckles his way.
Miss Ellie Loves her spring time shave. She is frisky and ready to play for days after getting her new sleek "do". She is such a little "tom boy", I'm convinced she thinks she can run faster and jump higher without the long coat. |
