This is in response to your request for information concerning an Old English Sheepdog belonging to FDR named Tiny. We have located a memorandum in the President's Personal File 130, Dogs from Stephen Early, Secretary to President Roosevelt, to "the Photographers" dated April 20, 1933 in which Mr. Early advises the photographers that "Mrs. Roosevelt will accept the gift of a prize winning Old English Sheepdog today at 12:15" at the White House. The dog, named Tiny Tre, was given to the Roosevelts by Mrs. Helen Roesler. We have also located a letter in PPF 130 from Mrs. Roesler to Mr. Early dated January 9, 1934 in which Mrs. Roesler indicates that Mrs. Roosevelt gave Tiny Tre to Admiral Cary T. Grayson, doctor to President Wilson, chairman of the American Red Cross, and personal friend of FDR. These documents total five pages. We have also searched our photo collection and the New York Times for photos of Tiny Tre, but unfortunately have been unable to locate any. |

I did the search thing also when that was posted and found alot of references to Tiny but could not find any pictures either.
Good follow up! You'd think there would be at least ONE picture somewhere. |
You guys are too funny. It seems as though FDR was way more enamored with his Scottie Dog Fala. Maybe because he fit better on his lap than TINY did! |
I have an OES named after him... tiny! tiny is also big and clusy |
I researched looking for Tiny tonight and found only one picture of Eleanor Roosevelt with him, to purchase rights to picture it's over $400. |
