I'm sorry you had an unpleasant experience... I don't know what the rest of the conversation entailed or how it was explained, but vaccines are a controversial topic.
It has been proven that we over vaccinate our pets. It has also been proven there are many side effects, one of those being various forms of cancer. Here is a link that can get you started if you want to look into it. There are several threads right here in the medical and nutrition thread. http://forum.oes.org/viewtopic.php?t=2888 |

It feels like a damned if you do damned if you don't situation. Thanks for the info. I want to be open minded, I just feel like she went about it the wrong way. Scare tactics. |
I wouldn't make a decision regarding vaccinating based on what others do, just based on your own opinion of the research presented...
I personally give all 3 sets of puppy vaccines, but not including lepto or corona. I then give a booster a year later, and then every three years (at 4 and 7 years of age) and then that's it, no more past age 7. I also don't give the rabies vaccine at the same time as the booster, I wait a month in between. I don't think the booster every three years is necessary, but I do because of laws regarding rabies vaccines, and because I'm not entirely sure myself. I'd like to see more studies done. |
Spacegirl21 did you have your baby lepto needle done yet. Prince is getting his on Sat and I was just wondering if she had any problems with it, since they are both from Sue. We miss getting together over Christmas for our puppies could play. I go to Subie Park when I can, for he can play with the other dogs and puppies. |

Well she had all her needles finished by last May, I have no idea about the lepto, never even heard of that. Like I said I guess I have researching to do, but I really trust my vet. Yah got crazy over Christmas next time I am in Darmouth or if you ever come out this way let me know. |

This schedule is what I do. I had an OES die from vaccination reaction and it was something I never want to experience again. "number one saying dogs can get cancer in the place the are vaccinated in" This does happen and is more likely with cats for some reason. |
