At the end of the movie they give info on how to buy diamonds that haven't been part of the Sierra Leone violence. |

It was a hard movie to watch, but at the same time riveting. I really liked it. And Leonardo DiCaprio - well, he was just GREAT! You'd never even think he wasn't a native South African.
My son LOVES DiCaprio. Said he's this generation's Robert DeNiro. I have to agree. He's turning into such a versatile actor. |
We saw it too...it was a graphic yet fantastic movie...I told Brian that he didnt have to buy me any more diamonds.........................................................................
....................................................................................... ....................................................................................... ....................................................................................I'd take rubies, emeralds and saphires instead now |
Darcy, you are SUCH a humanitarian... |
I would love to see it but honestly I HATE LEONARDO DECAPRIO!!!!! I saw a trailer for it and he had the most annoying accent, I'm wondering if I could get past that?????????????? |
Ginny, I dont like him either...but he was pretty good...he wasnt as annoying as I thought....
Steph, we all have to do our part ya know! |
He makes a believer out of you. Like I said, you'd never think he wasn't a native South African.
Did either of you see The Departed? He played an intense part in that! |
nope havent seen that....im lucky i saw blood diamonds...the last movie i saw with brian was war of the worlds.... |
We see lots of movies.
Our recommendations: pass on The Good Shepherd, and Casino Royale. JMHO. |
Oooh Casino Royale definately, one for the girls, instead of Ursula Andress or ?(forgot her name) stepping out from the ocean in a bikini, you have a macho man, back to a real James Bond also, rough around the edges and all MAN.
Still waiting to see Blood Diamond, only just been released here. |

I agree....what about tanzanite.....it's so purrtty!!! I just saw this thread after I put up a post....eek...so here I am. I loved Blood Diamond but could have done without all of that violence. I thought Leonardo Dicaprio's performance was really great (aside from the accent because I can't picture him talking that way)..... All in all I thought twice about my jewelry when it ended. It made me wonder about my jewelry... I highly recommend renting that movie. It's no wonder Djimon Hounsou was nominated for an oscar. |

Did either of you see The Departed? He played an intense part in that! I saw Departed a few weeks ago. I am also not a Leo fan, but thought his acting was very good. |
