Sylvester Stallone really embraced Philly this time around too during filming, publicity & premiering more than any of the other movies which the working class Philadelphia folks just eat up. It seemed as though most, if not all of the movie was filmed here including interior shots. So if you love Rocky, & ever visit Philadelphia, I would be happy to be your personal Rocky location film guide. |

I really want to see it. I doubt I will get to see it while it is in theaters, no babysitter |
I'm not a Rocky fan, I did see a couple of them, but could have done without...
I'm just not a sports fan type person either, I like hockey but only really pay attention to play off season, and I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to see a movie about it... I know my older brother will be rushing to see the new Rocky movie though |
I saw it. And I have never seen any of the other Rocky movies. My husband is from Philly suburbs, and he loves Rocky. So I took him on a date to see this one (Aren't I a great wife? ). It actually wasn't that bad, I even enjoyed it. Rocky is a really nice guy in this one (maybe he is in the others, too, I don't know) and he's trying to be a good father, and the actual fighting part wasn't that much of the movie. It was almost a little sappy, so that made it tolerable for me. |
Mixed reviews here...but not mine.
A fellow I work with is really into movies. He didn't have good things to say about it. Said it was the worst one of them, and that it was actually kind of pitiful to watch. My son and husband went on the weekend, and they LOVED it. Son said it was the best one made, and hubby didn't even nod off once! |
