HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!!!! Cosmo & Carlo's Daddy |
|
That's too bad. Makes you wonder what's going on. Especially if you know they did a good job on the neighbor dogs.
Hopefully things get worked out and Cosmo and Carlos get their grooming session. We had razor burn-turned rash-turned infection with our Ollie once. It was nasty and I found another groomer after that! |
Got the boys groomed Tuesday. Neat experience. Well stocked lighted trailer. Didn't really get into the reasons why. Boys were bad matted so we had to shave. I'll post pics later next week. They look kinda well....shaved. |
Same groomer as the one who stood you up with no call? No explanation? |
the typical man/wife business. Had a good groomer on staff and lost her to a big box. Truck broke down, tub sprrung a leak, they both got sick, they closed the supply store where they had the phone line and couldn't get the phone # transferred to their cell phones. Yada yada yada. But they were very appreciative for my patronage and they offered me a discount on my next groom. Being a small business owner myself, I can somewhat feel for them. My priority would have been to get those messages. BTW, the yappers next door got baths in my driveway. I should send them a bill for 1/2 the trip charge. |
Hmmmm. This thread won't be very flattering to them if people find it. Do you mind that?
Hey, did your neighbors also pay the trip charge? Either way perhaps you should talk to them about splitting the trip charge next time. If they paid no trip charge, suggest that next time you share it. If they did, approach the groomers as a package deal and get them to split the charge between you instead of charging twice. |
the neighbors didn't pay anything. Didn't even offer. Although the groomer called me on my way back to the house and asked if it was ok. Naturally the good neighbor that I am I said ok. The deal is with Activepaws, you can bring as many as you want for one trip charge. I still think they could have at least offered. She (my neighbor) didn't even say thanks. |
In a very friendly manner I would say to her: "Hi! I noticed that you used Activepaws. I liked them. Next time, we should coordinate to ensure that we both are available on the same day, and that way we could be sure to split only one trip charge!"
Or not. If she wasn't getting her dogs done you'd pay the whole thing anyway, but now you're feeling that she has taken advatage of you. Your choice; but that's what I would do. She may not realize there is a trip charge, or that you were actually charged one, since she wasn't. |
Had similar bad experience with activepaws.com. Did not show up for appointment - their voicemail is always full and they do not return phonecalls. I do not recommend them. |
I used active paws they were great. They also reminded me about my appointment time the day before by email. |
