| really? that seems kind of strange. i didn't think the post office was even run by the govt anymore. |
| They are "run" by the gov't - are still considered a government agency.
I believe the difference is that the post office is self supporting financially. I have 3 relatives that work for the post office! |
| Stock markets are closed too, and they're certainly not run by the government. |
And OF COURSE, all those federal employees will be home mourning the loss of President Ford  |

Not all of them - my hubby has to work. Oh well, between today, Christmas, Thanksgiving, and tomorrow, the next paycheck should be nice. |
| Sorry, I have the utmost respect for all our countries presidents and do believe they should be appropriately honored but, why can they only be honored on a WORK DAY and just exactly how many funerals does one man need????????? |
