You could do it the way I did it as a youngster and pour flammable liquid onto a burning fire... |
What are you actually trying to do? Thinning shears are really better for blending. I've never used them on the head. I'd be concerned that you might make it look like they're balding and trying a comb-over with what's left if you made it wispy! |
I am trying to make it easier for Rags to see, without cutting any length off. She hates having her hair up and is extra clumsy. |
I think you might be better off trimming. Maybe even just use regular scissors, straight up and down to thin out the fall? |
You can do it with thinning shears elissa, just make sure they are the real big wide tooth double sided ones, not the finer ones or single sided ones.
Take up a small layer from above the eyes and one snip at the base of the hair to thin it out, then from behind that first layer take another another thin layer and work from the front to the back stopping at the ociput, the bump at the back of her head. That way she does not look like a chop job and all is blended in and thinned out. You should still have the length there but finer for her to see through the hair if you can't keep a toppy knot in her. Hope this Helps. |
My shears are single sided.
Would it be too thin if I used them? If so I'll try Jill's way. I guess if it looks funny I could always cut the bangs, Not that I want to. I put her hair up the other day and it looked so good. She then went outside and was rubbing her head in the dirt to "fix" her hair. |
i use just scissers my daytona hates when the hair is over her eyes. |
