sadie started bowing one day before her usual wiggle ... i cant imagine this being good for her shoulders .. mind you i guess if it was hurting her she would stop ... i just find it halarious she always bows when a family member comes home and when a guest gets there she just wiggles so hard that she knocks them on their butts. |

Yes panda does that all of the time...it usually is a front bow first, then a rear stretch..... |
My dog bows constantly.
Most of the time it seems like a strecth, but sometimes I can tell he's doing a "play bow." |
I love it when they do that
Dancer used to do it on command. When she did it as a pup we'd always say "Super-dog!" and so after a while if we said that, she'd do it. I haven't tried in a long time though so I'm not sure she remembers... |
All of mine do it. Clyde likes any activity that involves sticking his butt in the air. |
We taught it to sadie because of the super dog influance ... ( you know the eukanewba (sp) pups ) and ever since she has been doing it .. she still does it on command we tell her "bow" and she does it ... and its a cute thing to show my friends but ... i just thought it was weird that she ONLY did it for family on her own ... |
Hi,
Your pup is exhibiting the traditional "Play, Bow, stance which in doggie life means ..hey you wanna play???? Very cute that Sadie sees you as immediately thinks Play time!! If you're ever at the dog park, watch other dogs greet each other this way sometimes, expecially puppies. That you can get Sadie to do it on command must be very cute to see. Marianne and the boys |
Hannah doesn't do it at all. But Copper does it when stretching and sometimes for playing, but not too often. I think it's one of the cutest mannerisms of the Sheepie. Our Katrina used to do the play bow all of the time and she just always stole my heart when she did that. |
