Here's the pic of "Clint" the sheepdog... http://www.petfinder.com/pet.cgi?action ... mpl=&stat= |

Welcome and congrats on your approach to your sheepie decision.
It's a little hard to tell from the picture, but I'm not sure that Clint is all sheepie... maybe a mix, eh? Again, welcome to the forum. Enjoy your stay! |
Hi,
Welcome to the forum. Here's hoping you end up rescuing a dog, whether its Clint or another dog. A word of advice if at all possible let your Pug pick his new friend. I say if at all possible as sometimes rescues come into our life when we don't expect it, but the Humane Societies always recommend bringing your existing dog when picking out a new one as it will be their buddy too. Have them meet on neutral territory the first time - like a park or another neighbors yard - then bring them home. Best of luck to you! Marianne |
thank you both! I wondered if he might be a mix... still OK by me. He's such a handsome boy...
thanks for the tip on having him meet my Pug... I will be sure to take Winston with me and if he doesn't like Clint for any reasons that I absolutely will not adopt him... but I know my Pug and he is such a happy go lucky feller... pretty much likes everyone and everything except... BIRDS! Chases and barks at them! Thanks again for the tips... I'll keep you posted on my decision... I will not be adopting until at least August as I leave on Saturday for a trip to Europe. Thanks again! |

I second that Marianne! Great advice. In my opinion, it doesn't really matter if the dog is a PB OES or not. Not many humans are PB anything ... What matters most is the connection between the upright and the dog, and in your case Bikechick, the connection between Winston and whichever dog you chose. I noticed that Clint wasn't listed on PetFinder anymore. Does anyone know if he was adopted? Glad you joined the forum! Ask questions galore! And believe that the right sheepie will come into your life when the time is right. (Kristen taught me this during my search for my resident Sheepie -- ad she was correct! 'When you least expect it .... ') Welcome! What state are you in? |
I can't see her...
Congrats and welcome! |
