Anybody know an OES breeder in Maine who also raises goats?

I would like to put a name to this description...

Thanks.

Does this mean the "Saintly Joan" wants to replace the Old Goat she lives with?

>>ducks down and races out of the forum.

Is it Rams Farm in Maine?

They raise show Nubian goats.

Denmark, Me I think is where they are located.

They also sell French chevre cheese too

( Ron, planning ahead for Spring, so you will not need to mow the lawn ? :D )
TOO FUNNY

I think so. How many more Goats-n-sheepdogs places could there be in Maine?

Funny.
coughs and enters room quietly and apologizes for calling Miss Joan "the" instead of just "Saintly Joan".

:D Marianne

Ron - good luck on finding the goats!
PS- Last week, Darcy called me Mare..and I said that was fine as long as she didn't put Old and Gray before that name. :|

Funny, but accurate.

Here you go, a little reading for how to care for your new charges-

(PS-We know you own a tractor :D,
so your farm has plenty of room )
There is also Mayfly Farm in NH. It's not quite Maine but very close.

I think Mulligan was raised with goats. :(

Should I contact the breeder and ask her if he is one of hers?
Why a frownie face? That's cool! Yes, I would contact her. Why not?
What would I say?

"How come one of your dogs wound up in rescue?"
"Any siblings around?"
Well, you could start with someone noncontroversial like "my dog seems to like goats and I heard he came from Maine -- think he might be one of yours?"

And then you could go on to "I'd love to learn more about him, parent, siblings, etc."
I agree with Val, go for it and ask general questions first. Then you can ask how come one of yours ended up in rescue....LATER!!! when you find out everything else first, like any siblings etc if you establish that he did come from there.

I sure would, not knowing anything, especially if there is an opportunity to find out some sort of background, would bug me BIG TIME. IF there is an opportunity to find out something, then GO FOR IT. 8) :D
