Hi all
My family recently accquired a OES pup.. Ursa.. ( will get some piccies posted as soon as i can cause she is just too cute).. I have been a huge dog person all my life.. be involved in all sorts of different breeds from fiests to plotts ( the old stock plotts) to labs, scotties mutss and now.. this breed.. my family has a things for having a pack of dogs always about.. im cursed you could say =P anywho.. my hubby was wanting to get a dog of his own and he fell in love with the OES and when he saw Ursa he had to get her.. she is brilliant.. loveable.. she tries so hard to please our other dog ( who happens to be a border collie/german shepard mix).. just a right lovely little girl.. All my life I have wanted to grow up showing/breeding dogs.. but was never able to.. well husband said.. DO IT.. so Ursa is also going to help me do that.. she is already making herself a welcome addition to the family.. well except for the cat who thinks shes a walking kids toys hes weird anyways.. but as she grows her and I are going to embark on a journey together.. I wanted to join here and say hello and introduce myself.. hopefully i can gleen some of the wisdom of the current owners and better myself as anew OES owner.. and if any breeder and handlers are about to give me some helpful tips I would be so much appriciative of that. thanks for letting me in.. you all need better gates =P |

If your breeder isn't close to you, you'll probably do best with a hands on mentor so let us know what area you are in and we'll probably be able to steer you in the right direction there too! Welcome to a huge roller coaster of the show world. It can be great and it can be awful, as long as you find it fun!!!!! |

http://img168.imageshack.us/img168/3820 ... 714ob5.jpg took her vet today cause she was feeling bad last night.. she has pinworms and a paramecium infection and dog lce.. brilliant =( so atm shes is all doped up.. mad at me cause of the bath and meds and curled up sleeping her head off...poor baby.. oo she was born on October 21.. so she is a wee baby.. praying she gets better cause she is such a lovely little lass.. =/ |

| thanks for such a warm welcome.. I wish i could say shes a right bounding bundle of trouble but with her being abit sick atm i cant..
the infection/worms and lice have drained her and she is atm a sleepy puppy.. I am going t6o contact the breeder i bought her off of and let them know what the vet said so they can check out all the other puppies.. I am sure this is something they definatly dont want but should be aware of.. soon as she is up n running about I shall snap some more pictures. I am currently residing in Arkansas. we plan on moving north sometime in the new year...right now my focus is getting her back to tip top health.. then her and I have some work to start on.. housetraining being the big one. =P after she is better i will put my head down and start learning all i need to do to make this a reality for me.. this is somethign i have always wanted to do and i know i can be good at. I had a breeder/judge of labs tell me i knew dogs better than most folk and should get into it myself.. hes a espected lab man in the UK and his words of support and my hubbys support have definatly given me the determination to make this suceed.. so you all had best prepare to be bugged alot .. =) |

| atm we live in little rock arkansas.. but previously we lived in wakefield in England.. hopefully soon we will be moving our bums up north.. arkansas heat is got to us and we want a season other than summer and tornado ones =P |

As she is my first pup to start me off on the strangle n wonderful world of breeding showing.. i figured i would eveintually need a kennel name.. which is going to be Orion's Touch.. her name is Ursa Major.. we just call her Ursa.. =) |
