FORGOT WHERE TO POOP!

I have a 9 month oes and he just stop pooping outside. Every day when I leave he poops in the house. I went out and bought a crate and he poops in there too. And that is a big mess because he is covered in poop so I have to give him a bath and clean out the crate. I just had a baby a month ago and it's getting too hard on me to do this everyday. I can't yell at him because when I do he pees everywhere. LOL I don't know he is just very stubborn! What else can I do?

If possible I would see if you could take four or so mornings off of work and re-do potty training with your boy. If you can't do this see if there is a close friend who is dog-savvy and can help you out with it consistently each morning until he 'gets' it again. It is pretty unusual for them to go in their crate if the crate is considered the "home are". Is this where your boy sleeps at night?

I'm sure others will have great suggestions for you - good luck and hang in there!
Hi thanks for replying. No he doesn't sleep in the crate. He sleeps in my room by the bed. I know it might sound funny but he's an afternoon pooper. He poops between 1 and 3 in the afternoon. I been taking him out around these times but he want go. Then when I come home it's as mess. And like I said he has this problem that if one of yells at him he will pee all over himself. I guess it really scares him, So I have to be careful not to raise my voice around him.
raising your voice wont help the situation. maybe he has to poop more than once a day...panda poops twice. late am and about an hour after she eats dinner....

Id take him out about 15 minutes after he eats and keep him outside till he does his business....praise him and give him a treat. stay out there with him....as hard as this may be, it is the easiest way to train. Positive reinforcement works wonders for potty training....mistakes will happen, you just have to remain positive... :D
Maybe your sheepie is a little bit jealous because of the baby?
R u having special hours between 1 and 3, because u said that he does it then?

It sounds to me that he has a very soft character, and having a change in the house, can shake his secure live upside down.
Have you newly gone back to work or changed your routine? The sudden change from housetrained to going in the house makes me think something in his environment changed. Can you think of anything going on that's different that's disturbing him?
My baby is the only thing new around here. I agree that maybe he's not getting enough attention with the baby here now. As things calm down he will get more attention. Thanks for the advice. By the way he walks when he poops. lol I've never seen a dog do this. Is this normal of this breed? Just wondering. Thanks!
:D First let me congradulate you on your new baby!!!!!!! As you know when a new baby comes in the house, both you and your husband must now adjust to the new addition. Little Sheepie does too. They are very attuned to the changes and they don't nessarily understand what is going on. All of a sudden Mommy and Daddy are busy and this squacking creature keeps making all kinds of noise. Things will settle down if you just have patients with him. Screaming at him really doesn't make you feel any better and certainly not him either. Not to get too graghic but think about what happens to your bodily funtions when you are really nervious about something? Also, if a child all of a sudden starts to soil their pants again after being potty train, or holds it too long, it is usually an indicator that there is something wrong or they are having difficulties with an adjustment. Just be patient and everything will work out. Like the other's suggestions of keeping him outside maybe a little longer. Best of luck with your new little baby and your sheepie.
Ah, I didn't read that the baby came only a month ago. That's a big change for a dog. I know it's insane sounding advice (since a month old baby is probably keeping you busy enough) but try to get back into a consistent routine with him-- even if it isn't the exact routine you had before. His whole world is upside down and getting a sense of normalcy will help a lot. Had he already been crate trained or is the crate new to him?
Yes, it's normal for this breed/or any to walk and poop. Mine does!!

Maybe you can try giving your dog a longer walk. This really can solve a LOT of problems. From lack of attn, to bathroom issues! I know long walks always makes my dog go, even if she's gone twice already!

On the weekends, are you home?

If so, I would try starting back at square one. Having your dog in a closed/small area for the entire day. Only letting them out to use the bathroom. Sometimes they get out of routine (esp. when something is different) and need to be reminded of where to go. Just a few days of this may change things! I hope! :)
Man!!! This reminds me of a dog I used to have, Zeus. In retrospect, I don't think I had the time for a dog... I had a job, I was pregnant, and grouchy. But we had to crate him because he would poop if we left him alone in the house, but he also pooped in the crate! EVERY DAY!!!!! He would even do it when we would put him in there for the night! I would take him out in the middle of the night, but he would still poop and pee in his crate!! It was such a nightmare!! he would come out of his crate and shake all over! YUCK!! he was really stubborn (bull mastiff, rodesian ridgeback mix, beautiful dog, but eeeewwww!) and no matter what I did he would not stop doing it!! We finally had to give him to a better home, with a new baby, i just couldn't handle it.

Now, my kids are older, I am a stay at home mom, and I have a little more patience for a pup. So, I think I know what you mean.

Man! I can still smell that awful smell!!!
