How cute! Did he like the bath? Does he like to be brushed out? Our baby does not like the brush. She runs when I try to brush her fluffy little fur! Not good, especially that her hair will only be getting longer, and she will need to be brushed more often! And, yes, they are the cutest little puppy cubs ever! |
Since the brushing right now are really just to get the puppy used to the brush and sitting or laying still. Give lots of praise and treats when you are brushing. When you get them happy about grooming time now, it is a lot easier when they are older. When you are going to groom, try to decide how long you want your session to go. It should be your choice not the puppies when you want to stop, so that they understand grooming is something that has to be done.
My husband and I really enjoy grooming Jack and Annabelle, we have a rug that gets brought out and when they see that they come and lay down and get ready for talks and love and yummy treats for being such good puppers! We love winter when we get in front of the fireplace and watch a movie and brush our kids that have more hair than the others! Have fun with your puppies! Stormi and co. |
