| Hey Val, you are doing what I WANT TO DO!! I have been bugging dh to move to Colorado for a few years now. He says family is here and that is important to him. I say let them come visit. Although we are planning a trip out in August. Its such a long time. August that is. I can't wait to hear more on how its going. Who knows, maybe I'll just show up on your doorstep, LOL. | Thanks everyone! The drive was shorter than I expected. Three solid days but not superlong. I stopped again at the very nice dogpark in Lincoln Nebraska. I did not go through Minnesota.
Luckily, I had checked the weather so I chose the northern route through Indiana, Illinois, Iowa and Nebraska and only faced rain. The movers drove through a horrible freezing rain / sleet / snow storm in Missouri and Kansas. They said it was blinding so they pulled over early and stopped for the rest of the day and night. For that reason, I was able to make it out here in the same amount of time even though they had two drivers. I will definitely provide pictures. |
So happy you made it there safely and bypassed our horrible snowstorms! Hey, did you sell your old place in Philly yet? |

| How exciting! I hope you love Boulder and Colorado. Not having lived in the East, I have no idea how different it will be out West. I love Boulder and the Front Range. The brief visit a few weeks ago left me almost weepy, but I realize I'm no longer a Colorado girl. Once you are settled, we'll get you in contact with the sheepie people out there!
Becareful in those mtn. parks, mountain lions roam thru there every so often. Remember, spaghetti in Louisville (often pronounced Louieville). That will make sense some day. |

Very easy. I just did a search on craigslist.org. They have a box you can check for places that allow dogs and/or cats. Everyone here has dogs. |
