1/2 cup softened butter 3/4 cup sugar 1/4 cup brown sugar 2 eggs 2 tablespoons instant coffee 1 tablespoon vanilla extract 2 2/3 cups all purpose flour 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon black pepper 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup toasted pine nuts -beat butter with sugars until light and fluffy -add eggs one at a time and mix well -stir coffee into vanilla extract and stir to dissolve, add to mixture -in a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, black pepper,cinnamon and salt. -stir in pine nuts -drop dough by spoonfuls onto parchment lined cookie sheet into two logs -press lightly with the palm of your hand to flatten slightly -bake 350F for 35-40 minutes -remove while warm and slice into 1/2 inch thick strips on a bias -place on unlined/ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 325 for 12-15 minutes -cookies will firm as they cool |

Well....I don't care for the orange....I have a thing with fruit and dessert (either give me fruit or give me dessert but dont mix the 2....yeah I'm weird), the peppered coffee one is really good but as an admitted chocoholic...definately the Chocolate is my fave |
