Will that work? Or should I buy another set, so I can have more for visitors? I'm torn because I don't know if we'd ever use them since our guests tend to hang onto their beer. If I make coffee, it would only be for the in-laws, and that's only 1 or 2 coasters. We don't drink any, and I wouldn't make it for anyone else (coffee pot stays in garage). This isn't something I can "buy more later" because it's a unique item. It's now or never. |

I say buy one more set. You just never know when you're going to need more than four.
Or it may be fun to have a couple of different sets if you decide not to purchase more at this time, as you mentioned they were kinda unique. At parties or large gatherings I find people don't think of using them, unlike smaller events where they notice the other guest more. I remember my sister once hosting a party and although she had coasters people either forgot or didn't think and her antique table was left with water marks. Most furniture nowadays can withstand it , unless you have antiques you want to protect at all cost. Yikes, someone even placed their glass on my antique piano where I hadn't placed coasters. This was at a party I had one year. The stain is still there. I still think that unless I'm wrong most people don't use coasters that much as they did in the past. Not that they are being impolite but they just might not be aware of that they are used for protecting the furniture and not just a novelty. Marianne and the boys |
Yup, I'd buy more!! I don't know if the item is expensive but you might even want to consider having a dozen. You are in the position as the wife of an officer to do alot of entertaining and I doubt that will change in the future.
They don't take up much space so I say go for it!!! I have several different sets and in my "younger years" when I entertained I can remember using them all. |
I say buy another set. Even if you don't drink coffee, you might drink water and want a coaster to put your cup on.
Like Ginny said, they don't take up much room, so why not? |
I'd go ahead and buy another set or even two if they're not too expensive (OMG, I had a Grandma moment there and almost typed "if they're not too dear" ) |

hahahahahahahaha, ,my Grandmother used that expressin too!!! |
That would be weird if we're here for years and years and are able to see each of our kids grow up. Okay, the auction still has several days to go, but I'll try bidding on it on the last day. I hope no one buys it. There's only one more left, but I'm too cheap to pay the "buy it now" price right off the bat. |
