Nothing like coming back...
Hey everybody! I'm back from sunny FL. Had a fabulous time, the weather was heavenly, the shopping was great, bought a GORGEOUS gown for our company party in January, ate tons of great food, got some sun, and walked the beach every day. Mrs. Manatee made an appearance (a family in joke/event) Sigh... I love FL! I got back in on Saturday night and was almost bowled over by Pippin! He's such a pappa's boy, I wasn't sure he'd miss me that much. But low and behold I walk in and there is my boy OVERJOYED to see me! I got pounced on, that booty was shaking a million miles an hour, I got kisses (He's not even a big kisser). I just sat right down in the hallway and gave him hugs and pets for about 10 minutes.  I love my boy!!!!
Oh yeah, and Mike missed me too!

I'm a little tan. I have pretty fair, easily sunburnt skin, so I made sure to always use my sun screen! No burns this year!!!! 
I'll try to upload some pics tomorrow am! The pics of my mom's tenure as Mrs. Manatee are a scream! Not sure she'd want me to post that  I actually remebered to take pics of the house and beach this year
Everything is so much better after a relaxing vacation! I feel so much more like my normal self again! On the down side, the gal sitting next to me on the plane ride home was HORRIBLY sick with a cold or the flu. She was coughing and sneezing the entire time... and now I've got the sniffles  I don't want that cold! She was MISERABLE!!!! I'm gonna take some Zicam when I get home tonight. |

And pippin, awwww, that's the best part, the cuddles, wet sloppy kisses & butt wiggles when you return, the dog that is, not the hubby.

They are just so so so happy to see you. I remember coming home from NJ last winter and Pepsi fell up three steps to get to me. Then knocked me down and attacked me with kisses. I don't think he left my side at all for the next 2 days.

Did you have that crazy windstorm that was in the southern region last weekend? I think you were there then. We were in Miami weekend before last (Nov 4) and the wind was so strong! I felt like we were in a hurricane! At least you got some warmth before the cold winter comes! |
| We did have a few days of windy conditions. Nothing that took the fun out of anything though. We just didn't go out onto the pier that day (whichis where it was REALLY windy). The island always ends up with it's own weather... 15 degrees hotter on the beach during the day, one side of the island could be completely calm, and the other side white heads and windy! What's really fun is driving on the bridge and seeing the two sides of the island (gulf side and tampa bay side) be COMPLETELY different water conditions, even though they're only seperated by about 100 feet of land in some parts!
The only bummer of the whole trip was that I ended up catching a cold from the lady next to me on the plane home, and my cousin was very obnoxious and ended up insulting my poor aunt! |
