They are most likely littermates, between one and two years of age, neutered and docked. They were strays a farmer found and has kept outside for the past year. The Humane Society was called because the dogs were killing the chickens and cats on the farm. (It’s unclear whether the farmer was feeding them, but the shelter worker said she would not recommend placing them in a home with cats or small dogs.) The shelter worker said they are nice, friendly boys otherwise. The shelter will not release the dogs to rescue and insists on placing the dogs themselves. They are highly reluctant to place dogs out of state. It is not a no-kill shelter so these boys are at risk of being put to sleep. If you have a serious interest in one or both of these boys, please contact the shelter at 419-294-4477. Their website is www.wyhumane.org. |

i know i have NO business even thinking about bringing two more dogs into an already crowded house...but i'm near Sandusky. I don't think that I could keep either one or both, but might be able to help get them. I'm torn on this because i know that our house is already overcrowded, and i know i can't afford another big dog/dogs. but of course, i don't want them killed...
if others are interested, or can foster them, like i said, i might be able to help with going to get them. please don't think i'm a bad person...do they have pictures? |
