Someone is Looking Out for Me!
A few weeks ago I was thrilled that my sister found acreage so we could eventually open up an animal santuary in a few years time. Her home was on the market and this new property was too good to pass up and so my mom, sister and I put all the spare cash we had so she wouldn't lose out on the bid. We all believe in her and the dream! No problemo ..her place was on the market and as soon as it sold we'd get our monies back. Urg..the renters haven't paid rent since Aug and now refuse to move.Which meant she was paying morgage on two places as she wasn't recieving income from her old place. She's on the waiting list for arbitration to get the tenants to move and pay backrent. Worse still, is since they live there and don't want to move, they leave the place in a mess which scares off any potential buyers for the home. At first my sister was understanding as the husband said he was short on cash but it's now been since Aug since they have paid any rent. She's stuck, as she's recieving no rental income and still has to pay the morgage and the house is not selling. So financially we're all strapped, my mom ended up remorgaging her home to help my sister pay morgage on two homes and for the down payment on the acreage. My sister is currently not working as she was waiting to move into her new place to search for work. My mom is on disability pension so her funds are limited but she was able to get a loan based on the equity of her home. All my spare cash was loaned to my sister and I was confident it would only be a matter of time until her house was sold until the problem with her tenants arose. My mom is also waiting to get her money paid back when my sisters house sells. Panda needs aprox 300 dollars for vet bills, Merlin needs to have his ears checked, Blue needs his lumps checked, Bunny needs to be spayed, Christmas is coming..oh..$$$$$$$ Although I really didn't want to get another job as I'm already teaching in the daytime and have my magic shows on the weekend. I did think of perhaps teaching ESL again for 2 hrs nightly as the money is excellent and I can manage 2 hrs at night. Thinking about perhaps applying at a school I worked at three years ago I had to get my resume ready. Before I had the chance the phone rings. The conversation went as follows. Hello, is this Marianne? You previously worked at ___ Learning Center? I bought the place from Mr_ 2 years ago and need some ESL teachers, would you be interested in teaching for this school again? I was floored as I had only thought about it the night before!! I showed up the next day and was offered 25 dollars an hour to teach a couple times a week with offers for more classes I if wanted them. Gasp!! Someone is looking out for me!!! The clients are wealthy and don't mind paying for private lessons and often ask for 2-3 hour lessons. Yipiii!!! I can do this until my sisters finances get sorted out..although I'll be dead tired but not complaining as that call was a godsend! Someone is looking out for me and the end result after all this is over is my sister has that acreage and that's the most important thing. We are determined to have the santuary for aged pets someday. So I won't be on as much after this week as my schedule will be rather hectic the next few weeks..I'm still grinning from ear to ear. you get back in return. You have such a positive outlook on life, when many of us don't. I am so glad things are turning out! But then I never had any doubts, you just really deserve it. Good things happen to good people. Shellie |

| Great news and I hope your sister can speed along the process of moving the renters off.........will have to go to court, more expense! Maybe since they haven't paid ANY rent, the process will be speedier......LOL, at least that's what the little fairies around the computer say.

Regarding the work ethic I learned it from my mom, she was on her own with three kids and a housefull of animals. She always worked a series of jobs providing for us. As a result, I learned from a really young age to have a series of things I could do in order to always be employed at numerous jobs. My sister is the same way. Somehow I always manage to pay the morgage, bills, and still take care of my sons and 11 furballs all on a sole income. I take pet ownership very seriously and if any of my upright boys or the pets need anything I'll just take on another job for a few weeks until I can save the cash. I can't keep up the pace forever so sometimes I just need to work an extra job for a few weeks until the desired goal is achieved. The good thing about all of this is I'm home by 3 pm daily, have time for walks, make dinner and veg for a while before I go to work for 2 hrs in the evening. My weekend shows only range from 1-3 hrs in duration and so it still leaves me time for all the things I need to do while I don my superwoman cape..ha ha! Life is wonderful so no complaints from me! No matter how broke I am - I am very rich in life. It was weird too, as at this time last year, I recieved a call from the previous owner of the school offering me a job for a few weeks and now it's happened again with the new owner.
