My OES is 16 months old, and all of a sudden, sometimes when he gets excited his hind quarters look they are out of control. It's not really a covulsion, but it's similiar to a "humping" motion, except he is neutered. Has anyone experience this? Thanks! Linda (Cozmo's MOM) |

Are you talking about air humping? Woohoo! Another one! Clyde's done this for a long time. It's always when he gets way excited to see us or sometimes even after a particularly satisfying stretch. It's gotten to be such a normal occurrence for us that we just laugh and cheer him on it when it happens--- although it really appears like he has no control as to when it starts and when it stops. |
Barney has the same thing (if it is what it sounds like to me). Barney seems almost embarassed by it--it's like it is out of his control and he doesn't want to, but can't help it.
He's 26 months old and neutered. |
Thanks!
I was concerned it might be something medical, but it sounds like they are just "fantasizing" LOL |
Maggie sometimes does a very slow-motion air-hump. She has such a puzzled expression on her face when she does it. Cracks me up, but I make her down immediately because I don't want her getting any ideas. |
Archie does this. It's obviously an out of his control thing--poor guy looks absolutely humiliated. We avert our eyes so as not to further embarrass him. |
I'm guessing it's a good thing my dog doesn't do this? These dogs never cease to amaze me. |
panda gets the back leg quivers too, but it always happens when she is over excited....especially when Bailey comes over to play...then they both do it....... |
