From: newportas@charter.net Subject: RE: Petfinder Pet Inquiry: Dakota (Id 11389) Date: June 21, 2004 9:54:24 AM EDT To: sferchak@comcast.net He is in danger! I personally am in love with him also. I contacted Wheaten Terrier, Old English Sheepdog, Tibitan Terrier, and Bearded Collie - So far - no rescue has agreed to take him. The shelter manager also loves him. Which will help buy him some time. If funds will do the trick then my husband and I will take care of that - We want to find him a home that will Let him be indoors since he is housebroken and wonderful! |

Hi

A small but active rescue group whose primary aims are to find happy homes for Bearded Collie lookalikes (affectionately called neardies) http://beardie.net/bone/ Put Dakota's story on their message board! Maybe they can find someone close that could spring Dakota! He sure looks like a keeper to me! I hope this helps! |

Update on Dakota:
Quote: Dear Susan, Well, Friday was a long day, but a wonderful day. Attached are pictures of Dakota's new family, and Dakota with Robin, the volunteer at the shelter who was instrumental in getting Dakota adopted. I saw your web page, and hope you can put his picture and story up for people to see. It took about 16 hours round trip but it was worth it. JIM |
He's cute, he looks nice all clipped and clean, and with that curly tail he looks a little like a shiba inu. |
CONGRATULATIONS to Dakota and Jim! I like his new hair doo. Stormi and co. |
I just LOVE a HAPPY ENDING! |
