i am at a loss what to do next with her,she is only 24 ks,she is two years old in july, nearly everyone who meets her says how thin she is,if they do not say it its got to the point where i say "she is very thin as she is a poor eater" i say it it as i am embarrassed the way she looks, the vet says as she is full of life runs about there can not bo much wrong with her, help, a worried jacky thanks |

did the vet test for diseases? or worms? if shes not eating as is very thin then there is probably something wrong.
i recommend giving her regular dog food, and mix in some warm wet food. give her like 20 minutes... if she doesnt eat it then pick it up and make her wait until next time. im reluctant to say that sooner or later she will get hungry and eat because it sounds as if its very possible that there is a health problem. but if theres not then cooking her a chicken will only add to her fussiness as she'll expect one everytime. did your vet have any advice for you? |
she is wormed every month,
i have done that with her food, wet, dry, warm, cold, you name it bet i done it,she just eats a little,i have picked it up after half hour but she did not eat for 4 days!! not a thing, some days, not many she eats it all in one go,this may be every 7/10 days,so she CAN eat, i am trying the chicken (roast may i add) if that does not work i am going back to vets for tests, she has blood test showed she was animic (sp) but every thing else ok, thankyou jacky |
she has been like this since we had her as a pup

Try boiled chicken, ground turkey or lean ground beef (1 cup), mixed with peas, green beans or shredded carrots (1 cup) , and 1/2 cup of brown rice. I give this to my picky eater along with a multi vitamin and flax seed oil added to her food and she loves it! Good luck! |
